Spherical roller bearings contain two rows of symmetrical rollers running on a common spherical outer ring raceway. This structure allows the bearing to accommodate shaft deflection and mounting errors while carrying high radial loads.

They are commonly selected for equipment where vibration, impact load, shaft bending or housing deformation can occur during operation.
